Period 19th century, origin France, ivory hemp warp, polychrome wool wefts, good condition.
A rich garland of flowers surrounds and highlights the central medallion of this great Aubusson, datable to the first empire. The rounded central rose window is taken up by the cantonals, underlined by a thick halo of stems. Graceful floral motifs, drawn in the style of the time, also adorn the edges of the field, in a warm shade of color.
